With the generous donation from Conferenza Episcopale Italiana, Italy, we distributed essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety supplies to doctors and frontline health workers at the COVID-19 Hospital in Government General Hospital, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
The items distributed included:
• Surgical masks
• Special protective N95 masks
• Gloves (sizes M and L)
• Goggles or facial and eye protective shields
• Boots
• Heavy gloves for cleaners
• Aprons for cleaners and staff
• Body bags and plastic bags for infectious waste
• Hydro-alcoholic gel
• Liquid soap
• Sodium hypochlorite solution or equivalent
• Pulse oximeters
• Oxygen concentrators
• Infrared thermometers
• Oxygen therapy equipment
• Oxygen cylinders
Mr. Toguru Arthur, Member of Legislative Assembly (M.L.A.), who attended the program, expressed his gratitude:

The widespread shortages of masks and other PPEs have put medical professionals at severe risk. Dr. G. Narendranath Reddy, Superintendent of Government General Hospital, Kurnool, added:

Without adequate PPE, we risk losing our frontline troops, effectively losing the battle. These essential items provided by Conferenza Episcopale Italiana are crucial armor in this fight, making our healthcare workers safer and stronger. As a result, they can heal more patients and reduce fatalities. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to CEI, Italy, for their vital support during this critical time.”
