Garments Making Training Programme
Sustainable Development of Rural Poor
With the generous grant from Stichting Castricum Helpt Muttathara, Netherlands, Health Welfare Association implemented a 6-month skill training program in fashion design and dressmaking for 50 economically disadvantaged women.
The training equipped participants with essential skills in tailoring and garment production. Upon successful completion, HWA provided each woman with a sewing machine, along with initial capital to purchase cloth and necessary tools. This support has enabled the women to start their own dressmaking businesses, allowing them to earn a steady income and improve their families’ living standards. Many of the participants are now financially independent, contributing to their household expenses, and living with renewed confidence and dignity.
This initiative is a testament to our commitment to empowering women through skill development, fostering sustainable livelihoods, and promoting economic self-sufficiency.
