Our Health Welfare Association, with the support of ‘Charity Foundation by Jesus Switzerland’, successfully implemented a goat distribution program for poor flood victims in Anantapur District.

This initiative aimed to improve the livelihoods of 20 flood-affected Dalit women by providing them with a sustainable income source through goat rearing. The program focused on empowering these women by teaching them the skills and techniques required to manage goats effectively.

The project was designed to help the beneficiaries overcome the challenges posed by the floods and regain financial stability. By distributing goats to these women, we enabled them to generate income through the sale of goats and their products, such as milk. This income was used to support their families, pay for education, healthcare, and other essential needs.Through this project, we not only provided the goats but also offered training on proper goat management, including feeding, housing, and healthcare. This training ensured that the women were equipped to handle the goats effectively and maximize their benefits. Additionally, we provided necessary inputs such as vaccines, mineral supplements, and quality feed to ensure the health and well-being of the goats.

The outcome of this project was a significant improvement in the economic stability of these women. They were able to earn a substantial income from the sale of goats and their products, which helped them to recover from the losses incurred during the floods. The project also contributed to the overall well-being of their families, as they were able to access better healthcare, education, and other essential services.We extend our sincere gratitude to Charity Foundation by Jesus Switzerland for their invaluable support, which has paved the way for these women’s success.
